Developed for the Chief of Naval Operations office, “Every Sailor – Every Day” is a US Navy branded social media outreach campaign speaking to Sailors about how to help and the importance of keeping watch for shipmates in difficulty and crisis while reinforcing the core values of “toughness, trust and connectedness” and the directive “One Navy – One Team”.
Data supports in most cases Sailors have less time and opportunity engage in destructive behaviors while on active duty deployment. The greatest challenges are generally when returning home to shore duty and the responsibilities of daily life with their families. Additional concerns include toxic and abusive environments, destructive behaviors and lifestyle choices, unhealthy stress responses and perceived stigmas preventing Sailors from seeking help for mental wellness.
